The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
